My baby celebrated her birthday today and I always like to do things, somewhat different, so I decided to take all the kids to see Madagascar. We went to see the first movie which cost $6.00 per person(before 12pm in NY), total $102.00. It was a hoot, kids laughed and had a fun time singing and just genuinely enjoyed the movie.
Initially, we were going to go to McDonald’s for lunch, but I started thinking about the parents and I thought we deserved something other than McD’s, so I began my search for something that would be cost-effective. My go to app, The Coupons App was my first stop and was the last. Chili’s Restaurant is offering a kids eat free deal with multiple redemptions per table(ends today 6.27, sorry!). I was excited because I found a great deal, plus I was saving money. There were 17 people in our party and I paid $109.00(includes tax & tip) for all of us to eat. Can you say great deal!!! Total cost, $211.00(movie+restaurant), not bad when you compare to Little Gym, etc. So, when you plan your child’s next birthday party and you plan to eat at a restaurant, know that you do not have to spend a fortune if you do a little research first!
Love to hear what great cost saving ideas you have come up for your kid’s birthday parties?
